Venice has a typically warm climate but with the canals and movement of boats and cruise ship into the city can at time be windy. Therefore outside of warmer months from April to September you need to be prepared for possibly a cooler evenings.
Having a stylish hoodie, jumper or jacket that can be used as an extra layer when needed and can be removed if temperatures are warm than expected.
